Give your pupils the experience their training deserves

In The Room exists for schools who value process, professionalism, and possibility.

It is for schools who want their students to experience what it truly means to work in the industry, alongside those already living it.

In The Room is not about exposure for exposure’s sake. It is about placing young performers in a professional environment that values intention, respect, collaboration, and care. If that aligns with your training ethos, you’ll understand exactly why this experience matters.

In The Room is designed for schools who care about training, process, and long-term development - not just performance. This is an industry-led experience that allows your pupils to step into a professional working environment, guided by experienced creatives who understand both the industry and young performers. Every school works differently. We adapt the process to fit your pupils, your strengths, and your way of working.

Your Questions, Answered

  • Each participating school takes part in a one-day experience hosted in a professional theatre. Your pupils will:

    • Take part in two West End led workshops

    • Rehearse with a hand-selected industry professional

    • Work within a full technical rehearsal process

    • Perform in a fully produced evening show

Throughout the day, pupils experience real rehearsal etiquette, professional expectations, and collaborative working practices.

  • Our producers work with each school ahead of the day to understand the best way to enhance your school and performers.

Each school will be provided with one carefully selected piece in advance. This piece is rehearsed by the school in their own time It is prepared in your own style and approach.

On the day, the professional joins your pupils in the room together, the piece is shaped and refined, without removing your school’s identity or voice. The professional performs alongside the students in the final performance.

  • In addition to the collaborative piece, schools also bring one pre-rehearsed piece of their own choosing to perform independently in the evening show.

    This ensures that:

Your school retains full creative identity

Your pupils showcase work that represents them authentically

Our live audience can celebrate the pupils as the next generation of professionals in their own right

This ensures the evening performance reflects both collaboration and each school’s individual identity.

  • Each IN THE ROOM is designed for a maximum of 10 groups.

    Groups must be between 20 - 30.

Schools are welcomed to bring more than one group. Though please note that chaperone numbers must be calculated per group not school.

  • IN THE ROOM is a youth targeted event. It is suitable for ages 8 - 21. We acknowledge that some group members may fall outside of this bracket. Please highlight this for discussion with us during application.
