In The Room is a carefully curated collaboration between theatre schools and West End professionals.
Schools are invited to take part in a one-day, industry-led experience where students rehearse and perform alongside working professionals - gaining real insight into how the industry operates in practice. It is collaborative, carefully structured, and intentionally limited to a select number of schools. Across the day, students take part in structured workshops and rehearsals led by West End professionals, working within an industry-standard creative process. The experience culminates in an evening performance where students share the stage with their professional in a carefully crafted live performance, shaped to suit each school. Each collaboration is approached individually, allowing space for ensemble work, featured roles, or solos where appropriate. Alongside the industry artists, students are supported throughout the day by the In The Room creative and production team, including choreographers, directors and producers. In The Room is a carefully curated collaboration between theatre schools and West End professionals.

Our producers work with each school ahead of the day to understand the best way to enhance your school and performers.
Each school will be provided with one carefully selected piece in advance. This piece is rehearsed by the school in their own time It is prepared in your own style and approach.
On the day, the professional joins your pupils in the room together, the piece is shaped and refined, without removing your school’s identity or voice. The professional performs alongside the students in the final performance.
-
In addition to the collaborative piece, schools also bring one pre-rehearsed piece of their own choosing to perform independently in the evening show.
This ensures that:
Your school retains full creative identity
Your pupils showcase work that represents them authentically
Our live audience can celebrate the pupils as the next generation of professionals in their own right
This ensures the evening performance reflects both collaboration and each school’s individual identity.
